The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.
The ideal candidate has at least one year of previous retail sales experience working in a fast-paced environment, strong computer and internet skills, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance.
He or she must be a fast learner who proactively strives to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.
Previous experience in shipping and/or print production, and basic graphic design is preferred, but not required.
RESPONSIBILITIES Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership Takes ownership of the customer's shipping, printing and other needs while providing offers for viable solutions Takes proactive action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment Ability to pass a background check to become an onsite notary required Performs other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Trustworthy Friendly and energetic Proactive and solution oriented Exhibits an active attention to details Teachable and rainable demeanor Embraces teamwork environment Fast learner with strong organizational skills Excellent listener with heightened customer service skills Reliable/dependable (punctual and works when scheduled) Able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math Must have reliable transportation Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
